COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 11:00 A.M. MAY 18th, 2026
Board members present: Vice Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Commissioner
Laura Osiadacz. Excused: Chairman Cory Wright
Others: Jodi Larsen, Office Administrator; Stephanie Hartung, Chief
Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Josh Fredrickson, Director Public Works;
Jeanne Kilgore, Director Human Resources; Bryan Elliott, Auditor.
SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS
At 11:30 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting and
announced the Board would enter into an Executive Session for 30
minutes, with Stephanie Hartung, Chief Deputy Prosecutor; Josh
Fredrickson, Director Public Works; Jeanne Kilgore, Director Human
Resources; and Bryan Elliott, Auditor, under RCW 42.30.110(g) To
evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or
to review the performance of a public employee. However, subject to
RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages,
and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within
the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a
governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the
salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or
discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken
in a meeting open to the public. Possible action anticipated.
At 11:35 a.m. Deputy Prosecuting Attorney III, Therese Murphy,
entered the meeting.
At 12:00 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No
action taken.
At 12:01 p.m. Vice Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would
recess back into an Executive Session for 60 minutes, with Stephanie
Hartung, Chief Deputy Prosecutor; Therese Murphy, Deputy Prosecutor
III; Josh Fredrickson, Director Public Works; Jeanne Kilgore,
Director Human Resources; and Bryan Elliott, Auditor, under RCW
42.30.110(g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for

direction that the Human Resources Department and the Prosecuting
Attorney’s office to continue contract development.
Meeting adjourned at 1:02 p.m.
