BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COLTNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON No. 2026 - 089 <br />ADOPTING THE CWU TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTER FEASIBILITY STUDY, <br />CAPITAL STACKING PLAN AND GRANT SUPPORT DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) selected <br />Kittitas County to receive planning grant funding to aid in financing the cost of the <br />Kittitas County CWU Technology Transfer Center Feasibility Study; and <br />The Feasibility Study focuses on the opportunities to transform the Old Heat building on <br />the Central Washington University (CWU) campus into a center for innovation, training <br />and economic growth; and <br />WHEREAS: An adopted Feasibility Study is a requirement to finalize the grant received from CERB; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: In addition to the Feasibility Study, aCapital stacking Plan and Grant Support documents <br />have been developed to support the development ofthe Technology Transfer Center. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby adopt the CWU Technology Transfer Center Feasibility Study, Capital <br />Stacking Plan and Grant Support Documents, hereto attached and approve the pursuit of additional <br />funding and support for the development of the building. <br />DATED this 19th day of May 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLTNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHINGTON <br />cory Chairman <br />Attest: <br />,,WClerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />!
