04/30/2026 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> THURSDAY 11:30 A.M. APRIL 30, 2026 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Jodi Larsen, Office Administrator; Mike Hougardy, Property <br />Assessor; Amy Cziske, County Treasurer; Stephanie Hartung, Deputy <br />Prosecuting Attorney; and 2 members of the public. SPECIAL MEETING ELECTED OFFICIAL SALARIES COMMISSIONERS <br />At 11:30 a.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT called the Special Meeting to order <br />for the purpose of considering a Resolution establishing the salary <br />guidelines for the elected officials including the Sheriff, <br />Assessor, Auditor, Treasurer, Coroner, and Clerk. The salary <br />guideline is for the period beginning 01/01/2027 and ending <br />12/31/2028. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br />Tom Morris, Salary Advisory Committee Member, read into the record, <br />the written comments of fellow Committee Member Gina Peckman. <br /> <br />Property Assessor, Mike Hougardy, gave comment regarding the purpose <br />of the Salary Advisory Committee. Due to the combined experience of <br />the Members and the time spent reviewing current salaries, Mr. <br />Hougardy encouraged the Board to follow the suggested salary <br />recommendation put forth by the Committee. RESOLUTION 2026-074 ELECTED OFFICIAL SALARIES COMMISSIONERS VICE-CHAIRMAIN WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-074, <br />Setting the Salaries for the Elected Officials (excluding Judges, <br />County Commissioners, and Prosecutor). Commissioner Osiadacz <br />seconded.
