COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 2:00PM APRIL 28, 2026
Board members present: Vice-Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; Commissioner,
Laura Osiadacz. Chairman Cory Wright-Excused.
Others: Jodi Larsen, Office Administrator; Amy McGuffin, Executive
Director, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.
CITIZEN COMMENTS: NONE SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER CEO-ADO UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
At 2:00 P.M. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Special Meeting with
the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Amy McGuffin, Executive
Director of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce updated the
Board on the Associate Development Organization’s(ADO)progress on
the following items:
Thorp Mill,
CEDS Outreach,
State of Community Forum,
America 250
Yakima River Access Plan,
Workforce Development & CTE,
SBDC Partnership,
Choose Kittitas County:EDD,
Opportunity Zones:Nominations for additional tracs
Ms. McGuffin reviewed the 2027-2029 Budgets for both the ADO and the
allocated .09 revenue. Due to significant reductions in State
funding Ms. McGuffin encouraged the Board to discuss and confirm the
ADO’s priorities moving forward.
Ms. McGuffin also stated that: The Accelerator Program, The
Innovation Center, The Tech School, and The Micro Certification for
professional development, remain part of the ongoing Strategic Plan.
Ms. McGuffin will continue to provide updates on these programs as
they progress.
