BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2026. O + 8 <br />ADOPTING THE SNOQUALMIE PASS COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY ACTION PLAN <br />WHEREAS: In accordance with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) <br />2022Federal Highway Safe Streets and Roads for A11(SS4A) grant, Public <br />Works has prepared a Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Action Plan; and <br />WHEREAS: The Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Plan identifies prioritized locations <br />for potential safety improvements based upon requirements set forth in USDOT <br />SS4A call for project guidance; and <br />WHEREAS: An adopted Comprehensive Safety Plan is a requirement to be eligible to apply <br />for implementation funding through the SS4A program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby adopt the Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Action <br />Plan, hereto attached and approve the pursuit of further funding opportunities through the United <br />States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All program. <br />DATED this 5th day of May 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITA UNTY , WASHINGTON <br />cory Chairman <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />ice-Chairman <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />ABSENT <br />Laur a O siadacz, Commissioner <br />w
