AGENDA DATE: May 5, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the Resolution to give Darren
Higashiyama signature authority to complete USDA Congressionally Directed Spending
forms to receive this funding.
BACKGROUND: Darren Higashiyama, Kittitas County Emergency Manager, met with
USDA representative and received notice that USDA Form RD 1942-46 Letter of Intent
to Meet Conditions, Form 1940-3 Request for Obligation of Funds and Form
Certification of Compliance shall be authorized by resolution and delivered to USDA.
INTERACTION: The items above have been reviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to approve the Resolution to give Darren
Higashiyama signature authority to complete USDA Congressionally Directed Spending
forms to receive this funding.
HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Sheriff's Office.
