RESOLUTION
NO.: 2026-
AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE USDA GRANT APPLICATION DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS: Kittitas County was invited to and did submit an application in 2024 to USDA
to receive Congressionally Directed Spending in the amount of $1,050,000;
and
WHEREAS: Darren Higashiyama, Kittitas County Emergency Manager, met with USDA
representative and received notice that USDA Form RD 1942-46 Letter of
Intent to Meet Conditions, Form 1940-3 Request for Obligation of Funds and
Form Certification of Compliance shall be authorized by resolution and
delivered to USDA.
WHEREAS: Forms prepared by USDA reference Emergency Manager Darren
Higashiyama as the Kittitas County point of contact for executing
documents.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners,
Emergency Manager Darren Higashiyama is authorized to execute forms RD 1942-46. RD
1940-3. and Certification of Compliance.
