BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO.: 2026- <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE USDA GRANT APPLICATION DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County was invited to and did submit an application in 2024 to USDA <br />to receive Congressionally Directed Spending in the amount of $1,050,000; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Darren Higashiyama, Kittitas County Emergency Manager, met with USDA <br />representative and received notice that USDA Form RD 1942-46 Letter of <br />Intent to Meet Conditions, Form 1940-3 Request for Obligation of Funds and <br />Form Certification of Compliance shall be authorized by resolution and <br />delivered to USDA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Forms prepared by USDA reference Emergency Manager Darren <br />Higashiyama as the Kittitas County point of contact for executing <br />documents. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners, <br />Emergency Manager Darren Higashiyama is authorized to execute forms RD 1942-46.
