ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Create a Policy for Dedicating
Revenue Funds for the Frontier Village into Capital Improvement
Funds
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County previously established Fund 309 KVEC Capital
Improvements through Resolution 2021-135 to support capital
facility needs at the Kittitas Valley Event Center (KVEC). The
Event Center’s facilities are aging and require ongoing investment
in repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements.
Currently, KVEC operates a facility sponsorship program that
deposits funds directly into Fund 309 for capital use. Frontier
Village, as a key component of the Event Center, generates
donations and revenue through product sales; however, a formal
policy directing these funds into capital improvements has not yet
been established.
