AGENDA DATE: May 5, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the no-cost administrative
modification to the Contract for Law Enforcement Services Work between the Bureau of
Land Management and the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Land Management have had
an extensive relationship in years past. The purpose of this Modification is to update
clauses in the Contract which will be effective for the life of the contract. This Contract is
used to obtain Law Enforcement services as needed to assist the Bureau of Land
Management in administration and regulation of the use and occupancy of the public
lands which the Bureau oversees.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: : Request to Acknowledge the no-cost administrative
modification to the Contract for Law Enforcement Services Work between the Bureau of
Land Management and the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
