The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office’s has received Title III funds from the US Forest Service through <br />Washington State. Title III funds, under P.L. 115-141, section 302(a)(2) provides that Title III funds may be <br />used to reimburse counties for search and rescue and other emergency response activities, including <br />firefighting and law enforcement patrols, performed on national forests. It is our intention to spend <br />these funds to improve/update equipment within our Search and Rescue Division. Here is a list of the <br />items we are considering: <br />Resue Drift Boat/Raft/Trailer, Rescue Banana Boat, Awning for Command Post, Drone Software, <br />Gear for Search and Rescue Coordinators, and operating supplies. <br />We have received $41,212.69 for Fiscal year 2026. <br /> <br />We welcome any public comments. <br />
