RESOLUTION
NO.: 2026-
TO CHANGE THE REGULAR OFFICE HOURS OF THE KITTITAS COUNTY
. CORONER'S OFFICE
WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has the authority, pursuant
to RCW 36.16.100 and KCCC 2.20.010, to modify and approve changes,
via resolution, to the hours of operation that County offices shall be open
for the transaction ofbusiness; and
WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Coroner's Office has requested that its office hours be
changed from its current hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM,
Friday, to 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday;
WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Coroner's Office employees will

WHEREAS: Other offices on the second floor of the Morris-Sorenson building, where
the Coroner's Office is located, already close at 4:00 PM; and
WHEREAS: The proposed revised business hours will provide increased security and
safety for County employees.
WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners authorizes said change rn
office hours for the Kittitas County Coroner's Office by action taken at a regular meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners authorizes approval of the request to change the business hours of service
for the Kittitas County Coroner's Office, such that the department will be open to the
public on Monday through Friday from the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
