04-02-2026 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />THURSDAY 1:00 P.M. APRIL 2, 2026 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith, and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Jeanne Killgore, HR <br />Director; Interview Candidate. Part 2: Leslie Erickson, HR Rep., <br />Therese Murphy, Deputy Prosecutor III; James McCubbin, Deputy <br />Prosecutor III. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:02 p.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into <br />an Executive Session with HR Director Killgore and the Interview <br />Candidate for 45 minutes, under RCW 42.30.110 (g), to evaluate the <br />qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee. However, subject to <br />RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, <br />and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within <br />the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a <br />governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the <br />salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken <br />in a meeting open to the public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />*Candidate left at 1:40 p.m. <br /> <br />At 1:47 p.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br />Direction to HR Director to offer the position to the selected <br />candidate. <br /> <br />*Jeanne Killgore, HR Director left meeting. <br /> <br />*Leslie Erickson, HR Rep., Therese Murphy, Deputy Prosecutor III; <br />James McCubbin, Deputy Prosecutor III, joined the meeting. <br /> <br />At 1:47 p.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess back <br />into an Executive Session with Leslie Erickson, HR Rep., Therese <br />Murphy, Deputy Prosecutor III; James McCubbin, Deputy Prosecutor III <br />for 10 minutes, under RCW 42.30.110 (g), to evaluate the <br />qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee.
