COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
CONFERENCE ROOM
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. APRIL 6, 2026
Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett
Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Jodi Larsen, Office
Administrator; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Patti Stacey,
Facilities Director and one member of the public.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT - NONE
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action Forms and Vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending April 3, 2026.
UPDATE CHANGE ORDER 1-4 BELSAAS EOC PROJECT MAINTENANCE
Patti Stacey, Facilities Director, updated the Board on four Change
Orders she received from Belsaas related to the Search & Rescue –
EOC building project. She noted that the project did not include a
large contingency fund and asked the Board for direction on how to
proceed.
Ms. Stacey outlined the Change Orders as follows: the first is for
electrical work to the well pump; the second is for installation of
an oil-water separator in the storm drain system; the third is for
installing cleanouts in the sewer lines; and the fourth is to
complete the RV dump station as specified in the civil plans. The
total cost for these Change Orders is $27,981.00.

The Board directed Ms. Stacey to bring the items forward at a future
Agenda Session for formal consideration.
UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS
The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided
status updates.
DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of April 6, 2026, they would
post the following on their Facebook page: Recognition of National
County Government Month. The post will highlight community displays
and children’s artwork, and acknowledge the County’s pride in
celebrating the 34th year of its Sister City relationship with
Sanda, Japan. The Board also approved including an invitation to the
public to attend a presentation on how local government works,
scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Upper
County Senior Center.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2026
were determined during a Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting and they will continue to provide updates at future
meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on
meetings & conversations that the Board participated in,
individually, over the past week.
