KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />March 17,2026 <br />Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chair's <br />Signature on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project <br />Prospectus for the Horizontal Curve Safety Project CRP <br />3t9-23. <br />BACKGROUND:The Horizontal Curve Safety Project was selected to <br />receive Federal Funding through the Highway Safety <br />Improvement Program (HSIP). Kittitas County Public <br />Works has inventoried horizontal curves countywide and <br />selected ten (10) roadway segments for implementation of <br />improved roadside signing, including advisory speeds, <br />chevron affow signs, and the addition of flexible guideposts <br />to increase driver awareness. All the improvements are <br />focused on helping reduce accidents and injuries on the <br />road system. <br />This project is eligible for one hundred percent (100%) <br />Federal Funding for all phases authorized prior to April 30, <br />2026.
