ACTION REQUESTED:
Request Board of County Commissioner approval for the Facilities and Waste Operations Director to sign
Change Order 11, for the Jail Renovation and Improvement Project.
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County entered into a contract with Belsaas & Smith Construction for the Jail Renovation and
Improvement Project.
Previously a change order was approved to add skylights over the outdoor recreations. The manufacturer
has determined that addition cross ties will be needed.
This change order is to add $155,617.32 plus tax to the project plus an additional 121 day for the completion
of the skylights.
INTERACTION:
Knit Architecture, Jail Command staff, and Maintenance.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend Board of County Commissioners approval for the Facilities and Waste Operations Director to
sign Change Order 11.
HANDLING:
Return documents for signature.
