AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: April 7, 2026
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve and
sign the 2026 Lodging Tax Services Agreements as awarded by
Resolution No. 2026-018
BACKGROUND: The Consolidated Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Work Group
met in an open public meeting on November 14, 2025, and
deliberated to reach a final funding recommendation to be forwarded
to each entity’s legislative body for final approval. The Group
recommended allocating $480,887.39 of Lodging Tax funds for
special events and projects.
INTERACTION: Kittitas County designated $341,015.40 to be available for grants as
part of this process, Ellensburg designated $108,259.12 Cle Elum
designated $27,340.67, and Roslyn designated $4272.20. The BOCC
approved disbursement of funds from the Lodging Tax fund through
Resolution 2026-018. The cities of Ellensburg, Cle Elum and Roslyn
also approved resolutions allocating their lodging tax disbursements.
RECOMMENDATION: Request the BOCC approve and sign the attached 2026 Lodging Tax
Services Agreements LT-2026-001 through LT-2026-025.
