<br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />Regular Agenda Session <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 3rd, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge Auditor's Signature on the Cayenta <br />Managed Services Contract <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Auditor’s Office is proposing to enter into a Managed Services <br />contract with Cayenta to support software patching, system upgrades, <br />and provide enhanced responsiveness for technical issue triage. <br /> <br />The CMS contract has been reviewed and supported by the IT <br />Department and the Cayenta Stakeholder Workgroup. One of the key <br />challenges with the County’s prior version of Cayenta was <br />insufficient patch and upgrade management. This is not a reflection of <br />our local capabilities; rather, it recognizes the complexity of the <br />system environments and dependencies involved in patching and <br />upgrades. These functions are best performed by the software vendor, <br />which is the standard practice for the majority of Cayenta clients. <br />Total implementation and recurring costs for the CMS contract are <br />outlined below. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Auditor’s Office has collaborated with the IT Department, the <br />Cayenta Stakeholder Workgroup, and the Prosecutor’s Office in <br />reviewing and preparing the contract. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge Auditor's Signature on the Cayenta Managed Services <br />Contract <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br />Copy – Auditor <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT Cayenta Managed Services Agreement and Schedule A - Kittitas <br />County_Final <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, County Auditor
