KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 3, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval to advertise a call for bids for Cle <br />Elum Transfer Station driveway improvements and tank <br />replacement project. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste Department Cle Elum Transfer Station <br />has been seen and increase in traffic using the transfer station and is in need of making <br />safety improvements to allow traffic to queue onsite and not block Hwy 903. By adding <br />a new entrance on the east property line, it will allow traffic to queue onsite. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Solid Waste Department. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Board to Advertise the call for Bids for the <br />new Cle Elum Transfer Station driveway improvements and tank replacement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Clerk of the Board to Advertise for bids. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Request for Bids <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director. <br />
