01/27/2026 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 1:30 PM JANUARY 27, 2026 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Jodi Larsen, Office Administrator; Amy McGuffin, <br />Executive Director, Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: NONE <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER CEO-ADO UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:30 P.M. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting with the <br />Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce. Amy McGuffin, Executive <br />Director of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce presented <br />the Board with The Chamber’s, “2025 Annual Report” and the <br />Economic Development, “Year in Review”. Ms. McGuffin also <br />recapped the Chamber’s Associate Development Organization’s <br />(ADO)progress on the following items: Thorp Mill, CEDS Outreach, <br />SBDC Partnership, State of the Community, America 250, and <br />Workforce Development. <br /> <br />She said efforts continue on the County Economic Development <br />Strategy. A public meeting was hosted with 15-20 members of the <br />public in attendance. The next meeting is scheduled for February <br />3rd and will be hosted in Cle Elum. <br /> <br />Ms. McGuffin shared that the “Choose Kittitas County” website is <br />up and running and encouraged the Board to visit the site. There <br />was discussion about the site being utilized to market The <br />Yakima River Access Plan. The Board directed Ms. Mcguffin to <br />reach out Sheriff Myers and Public Works Director Josh Ferguson <br />to establish implementation, coordinate signage info, and <br />placement locations. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS - NONE <br /> <br />The meeting concluded at 2:37 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
