01/20/2026 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 3:00 P.M. January 20, 2026 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: County Auditor Bryan Elliott; Jodi Larsen, Office <br />Administrator; Lisa Bugni, LTAC Clerk. <br /> <br />LTAC Committee members: Jessica Karraker, Roylene Crawford, & Victor <br />Woodward. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS: NONE LTAC JOINT MEETING WITH BOCC COMMISSIONERS <br />At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Joint Special Meeting with the <br />Board and members from the County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee <br />(LTAC). <br /> FINANCIAL UPDATE: Bryan Elliott, Auditor, reviewed the last 5 year <br />trend along with the current budget through October 2025. Highlights <br />included but were not limited to: current balance, committed funds, <br />existing and upcoming bonds, and projections for 2026 income. <br /> CONTRACT UPDATE: LTAC Clerk Lisa Bugni explained that the Contracts <br />have been sent and are under review with the appropriate parties. <br />Once input is received the contracts will be presented to legal for <br />their review and approval. <br /> COMMUNITY AWARENESS APPROACH: The Board and Committee discussed how <br />best to inform and engage the community regarding funding <br />disbursements and projects. The Committee will put together a “Year <br />in Review” as well as individual press releases that highlight <br />specific projects upon completion. Media releases will be brought in <br />front of the Board of County Commissioners for their review and <br />approval. <br /> 2026 PRIORITIES – The Committee highlighted the following as their <br />priorities: <br />- Better, more comprehensive communication between the Committee <br />and the Board. <br />- Review the Event Center Master Plan in comparison to the County <br />10-Year Strategic Plan to find overlaps, gaps, etc. The goal is <br />to align and accomplish like items. <br />- Access Plan – This is being sent to the Chamber for execution.
