JANUARY 20, 2026 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director; Lisa <br />Lawrence, Assistant Solid Waste Director; and 2 members of the <br />public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING INLAND TELEPHONE PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />Non-Exclusive Franchise for Telecommunications Facilities with <br />Inland Telephone. <br /> <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, reviewed an application <br />received from Inland Telephone for a Non-Exclusive Franchise for <br />telecommunications facilities. He said the previous Franchise <br />Agreement expired and a new one is required for existing and new <br />services franchise area. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT INLAND TELEPHONE PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH moved to approve a Non-Exclusive <br />Telecommunications Franchise to Use County Roads, Rights-of-Way and <br />Other County Property within Kittitas County, with Inland Telephone <br />Company. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY SOLID WASTE <br /> <br />At 2:02 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider the <br />Surplus of County Property located at 925 Industrial Way Ellensburg, <br />WA. <br /> <br />LISA LAWRENCE, ASSISTANT SOLID WASTE DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff <br />Report and a Resolution which would declare real property located at <br />925 Industrial Way Ellensburg, WA surplus to the County needs. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br />
