KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 6, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards approval to set a public hearing to consider <br />surplus of county property. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Solid Waste is constructing a new lower county <br />transfer station facility. As part of the new transfer station facility, we will be moving the <br />existing Solid Waste office and Moderate Risk Waste facility to 2306 Green Ave. With <br />this move the Solid Waste Department will no longer need the property located at 925 S. <br />Industrial Way. <br /> <br />The Solid Waste Department requests to set a public hearing to surplus the property <br />located at 925 S. Industrial Way. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Solid Waste Department, and Prosecutors Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request Boards approval to set a public hearing for January <br />20, 2026 at 2:00pm to consider surplus of county property. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Clerk to advertise. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Advertisement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director. <br />
