2025-12-08 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY 11:00 A.M. DECEMBER 08, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; Commissioner Brett Wachsmith (WebEx). <br /> <br />Others: Jodi Larsen, Administrative Assistant; Stephanie Hartung, <br />Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Arden Thomas, Public Works WRP <br />Manager; Bill Clarke (WebEx), Attorney & Government Affairs. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING LEGISLATIVE PLANNING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz called the meeting to order to meet <br />with Mr. Clarke to review and discuss a draft of the 2026 <br />Legislative Session documents. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: NONE EXECUTIVE SESSION RCW 42.30.110(b) COMMISIONERS <br />At 11:01 Chairman Osiadacz announced that the Board would recess <br />into an Executive Session for 10 minutes with the Board, PW Arden <br />Thomas, and Chief Civil Deputing Prosector Stephanie Harting under <br />RCW 42.30.110(b)to consider the selection of a site or the <br />acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when public <br />knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of <br />increased price. The Board anticipated a potential direction for <br />staff. <br /> <br />At 11:11 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No <br />action taken. <br /> <br />At 11:12 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced that the Board would <br />recess back into an Executive Session for 10 minutes with the Board, <br />PW Arden Thomas, and Chief Civil Deputing Prosector Stephanie <br />Harting under RCW 42.30.110(b)to consider the selection of a site or <br />the acquisition of real estate by lease or purchase when public <br />knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of <br />increased price. The Board anticipated a potential direction for <br />staff. <br /> <br />At 11:21 the Board reconvened out of Executive Session with <br />direction to Staff to “investigate and negotiate the acquisition of <br />real estate.”
