KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM log <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 2:30 PM October 27, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chair Laura Osiadacz, Vice Chair Cory <br />Wright, and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others: Chad Bala, Jeremy Johnston, and Jessica Miller, <br />Community Development Services, Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting <br />Attorney's Office, (2) members of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Chair Osiadacz opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />Kittitas County 2026 Periodic Comprehensive Plan Update Briefing <br />Preliminary Policy Review. <br />CDS Long Range Planner, Jeremy Johnston presented the staff <br />report, and referenced the Kimley-Horn 2026 Periodic <br />Comprehensive Plan Update Briefing Memo dated October 23, 2025. <br />He gave a high level overview summary from the previous Planning <br />Commission meeting. Vice -Chair Wright and Chair Osiadacz asked <br />questions in regard to the Economic Development element and <br />limited commercial and industrial zoned land availability within <br />Kittitas County. Long Range Planner Jeremy Johnston explained <br />upcoming conversation timelines. Director Bala expanded on the <br />overview. Commissioner Wachsmith and Vice -Chair Cory Wright <br />asked questions about the transportation element. Chair Osiadacz <br />noted that it may lead to a broader conversation. Discussion <br />ensued regarding transportation connectivity in the Easton/Cle <br />Elum area.
