11/04/2025 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 4, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright & Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Coordinator; Marc Eylar, <br />Assistant Coordinator; and 3 members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WEED BOARD ASSESSMENT RATES NOXIOUS WEED <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />adjusting the Kittitas County Noxious Weed Board Assessment Rates. <br /> <br />TODD DAVIS, NOXIOUS WEED COORDINATOR, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />provided an overview of their financial needs to sustain their <br />program. He said they determined a need to increase assessment rates <br />for lands within Kittitas County as costs have substantially <br />increased since the last weed assessment rates were adjusted. He <br />recommended approving a proposed Resolution adopting new rates. <br /> <br />THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: KAREN PAULSON said she was on the Weed <br />Board and was in favor of revising the Noxious Weed Assessment <br />rates. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-215 NOXIOUS WEED LEVY ASSESSMENTS NOXIOUS WEED <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-215, <br />Revising the Noxious Weed Levy Assessments. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH <br />seconded.
