KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 4, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Boards signature on Agreement for Services with Nor-Pac <br />Seating for the Rodeo Arena Improvement project <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The County has been working with the Rodeo Board and ALSC <br />Architects for the past 10 years to find a way to improve accessibility <br />and safety for the Rodeo arena. A conceptual design was presented <br />that would have improved section AA-NN. It was determined that the <br />project would need to be scaled back. The final project has been <br />scaled back to include sections AA-JJ. This portion will include a <br />new bridge over the track, new restrooms and upgrades to the behind <br />the chutes area. <br /> <br /> This project will need to be completed by June 30, 2026, in order to <br />be ready for the 2026 Ellensburg Rodeo. <br /> <br /> We have worked through the Sourcewell contracting system to obtain <br />quotes for the stadia portion of the Rodeo Arena Project. Dant <br />Clayton and Nor-Pac have put together a proposal for the Rodeo <br />Arena Improvement Project Stadia. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Event Center Director, Ellensburg Rodeo Board, Board of County <br />Commissioners and Prosecutors office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Boards signature on the Agreement for Services for the Rodeo Arena <br />Improvement Project Stadia. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Agreement for Services <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
