<br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO. 2025-____ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 2025-141 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County imposes a lodging tax assessed on the sale or charge made for <br />furnishings of lodging according to RCW 67.28.180 and RCW 67.28.181; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (“LTAC”) met in an open <br />public meeting on July 9, 2025 to consider Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure <br />Projects Applications and develop funding recommendations for consideration by <br />the Board of County Commissioners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 2025-141 <br />Adopting the Kittitas County Tourism Infrastructure Projects Application on <br />August 5, 2025, which included striking both City of Cle Elum’s applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office submitted a recommended <br />action to LTAC Chairman Laura Osiadacz to implement provisions placing <br />restrictions on the receipt of lodging tax funds and the restrictive language has <br />been added to LTAC contracts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Bryan Elliott, Kittitas County Auditor, submitted a staff report to the LTAC at its <br />regular meeting on August 13, 2025, outlying a 2.5-million-dollar gap in the <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center (“KVEC”) Rodeo Grandstands Project and the <br />LTAC voted to fund the KVEC Rodeo Grandstands Project an additional 2.5 <br />million dollars; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The County agrees that all the terms within the originally approved Resolution <br />remain consistent and unchanged; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, does hereby reconsider and approve to amend Resolution 2025-141 with <br />the additional awards of the 2025 Tourism-Related Infrastructure Projects as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. City of Cle Elum-Washington State Horse Park-Facilities $3,275,000 <br />2. City of Cle Elum-UKC Community Recreation Center $3,288,000 <br />3. KVEC-Rodeo Grandstands Reconstruction $2,500,000 <br /> TOTAL ADDITIONAL LTAC FUNDED $9,063,000 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
