KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2025 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 4, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Selection <br />of The Ferguson Group for the Conference of Governments <br />Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding Strategy Services <br />and Authorize the Public Works Director to negotiate and <br />prepare the Professional Services Agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: In August 2025, Kittitas County Public Works solicited for <br />Statement of Qualifications for professional services <br />relating to Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding <br />Strategy Services for the Conference of Governments <br />(COG). Submittals were due on August 29, 2025, and two <br />(2) submittals were received in response to the solicitation. <br />A review team comprised of Public Works, two (2) <br />members of COG and a representative from Central <br />Washington University have reviewed the proposals and <br />recommends The Ferguson Group be selected to provide <br />said services to the Conference of Governments. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Selection of The <br />Ferguson Group for the Conference of Governments <br />Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding Strategy Services <br />and Authorize the Public Works Director to negotiate and <br />prepare the Professional Services Agreement. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director. <br />
