Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />October 21,2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners authorizes 1/10th of 1% mental health and chemical <br />dependency grant funding to the six agencies recommended by the 1/10th of 1% Mental Health <br />and Chemical Dependency Tax Advisory Board. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Board of Health: N/A <br />Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: N/A <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: N/A <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />On September 19th, 2025, the 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Advisory Board met to review and recommend the 2025 request for proposal submissions. The <br />Board recommended the following proposals be funded. <br /> <br />Boys and Girls Club – STRIVE: Support, Tools, and Resilience for Inspiring Vulnerable Youth at <br />$227,128.00 <br /> <br />CWU Community Clinic at $498,298.00 <br /> <br />HopeSource - Behavioral Health Bridge Program at $357,768.00 <br /> <br />Kittitas County Health Network – THRIVE Youth Mentoring at $319,805.90 <br /> <br />Peers Rising – Warmth & Wellness: Resilience and Life Skills Support in Kittitas County at <br />$346,309.00 <br /> <br />Upper Kittitas County Senior Center – AccessPlus: Serving our Seniors and Heroes at <br />$117,531.38 <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />N/A <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Kasey Knutson
