BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2025 - <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF <br />WASHINGTON PARKS AND RECREATION AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas Valley Event Center is a branch of Kittitas County and is home to the <br />annual Kittitas County Fair and Ellensburg Rodeo every Labor Day Weekend. It <br />also operates as a year-round event and facility rental venue that is within easy <br />walking distance of Central Washington University and downtown Ellensburg <br />and is within short driving distance of over 700 motel rooms and 35 restaurants. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas Valley Event Center in partnership with Washington Parks and <br />Recreation will join together for access and maintenance to a portion of the <br />Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the agreement will serve to improve the ground that borders the designated area <br />for the new RV Park by permitting the County to beautify and maintain the <br />landscaping of the Washington Parks and Recreation land; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners <br />authorizes the approval of the 2025 Agreement with the State of Washington Parks and <br />Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 2025 at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />☐ Clerk of the Board <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board
