INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR COOPERATIVE PURCHASING <br />Between Washington State University and Kittitas County <br />This Interlocal Agreement is made between Washington State University, a public <br />institution of higher education in Washington State (“University”) and Kittitas County, a <br />political subdivision of the State of Washington (“County”). The purpose of this agreement <br />is to authorize the University to utilize the terms of a competitively awarded contract held <br />by the County for banking services. <br />1. Purpose: <br />a. The agreement enables Washington State University to utilize the terms and <br />conditions including the banking services pricing agreed to under a <br />competitively awarded contract procured by Kittitas County, in accordance <br />with Washington’s Interlocal Cooperation Act (Chapter 39.34 RCW). It <br />supports eƯicient, cost-eƯective procurement by reducing administrative <br />duplication. <br />2. Authority: <br />a. This agreement is made under RCW 39.34.030 and RCW 39.34.080, which <br />allows public agencies in the State of Washington to contract with one <br />another for joint purchasing and cooperative action. <br />3. Contract Information <br />a. The University may use the following Kittitas County contract: <br />i. Contract Title: Master Service Agreement <br />ii. Vendor: U.S. Bank <br />iii. Scope: Deposit Accounts <br />b. The University agrees to abide by the terms and conditions established in the <br />County’s contract. <br />4. Responsibilities: <br />a. Each party retains full responsibility for its own performance under this <br />agreement. <br />b. The University will be solely responsible for any purchases it makes and for <br />all resulting payments to the vendor. <br />c. The County will not be held liable or responsible for the University’s <br />purchasing decisions or obligations. <br />d. The County is not acting as a purchasing agent for the University. <br />5. Term: This agreement will remain in eƯect for as long as the County’s contract is <br />active, unless terminated earlier by either party with 30 days written notice. <br />6. Contacts: Each agency will designate a contact person to manage this agreement:
