Kittitas County <br />Treasurer <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />9/2/2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Resolution to Approve an Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County and Kittitas County Fire District #2 <br />to allow Kittitas County Fire District #2 to process their own Accounts Payable and Payroll warrants, <br />Independent of the Kittitas County Auditor's Office Warrant Processing System. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />County Fire District #2 (KVFR) signed an interlocal agreement on August 14, 2025 to process their own <br />Accounts Payable and Payroll warrants independent of the Auditor's Office. KVFR has its own accounting <br />system capable of printing checks. This service frees up Kittitas County staff time in both the Auditor and <br />Treasurer's offices, allowing them to focus on other duties required of them. This resolution is to approve <br />the process by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Auditor and Treasurer's offices have collaborated with KVFR to develop the resolution and approve the <br />imprest account department resolution. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the resolution approving the Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County and Kittitas County <br />Fire District #2 to allow Kittitas County Fire District #2 to process their own Accounts Payable and Payroll <br />warrants, Independent of the Kittitas County Auditor's Office Warrant Processing System. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Original - Clerk of the Board <br />Copy - Auditor <br />Copy - Treasurer <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Amy Cziske <br />
