KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />September 2, 2025 <br />Request to Set a Public Hearing on September 16, <br />2025, at 2:00 pm local time to consider a speed <br />increase on Bullfrog Road and amend Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08.020 Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />received a request from county staff in May of <br />2025, to conduct a speed study and consider an <br />increase to the posted speed on Bullfrog Road. The <br />speed study was conducted, and staff is now <br />prepared to present the findings for consideration. <br />A public hearing is required by County code to <br />consider the merits of the speed increase request. <br />At the public hearing, the Public Works Director <br />will provide the Board with the Engineer's Report <br />addressing the speed reduction request. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Set a Public Hearing on September 16, <br />2025, at 2:00 pm local time to consider a speed <br />increase on Bullfrog Road and amend Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08.020 Speed Limits and <br />receive public testimony. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
