KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 5, 2025 <br />Request to Set a Public Hearing on September 2, <br />2025, at 2:00 pm local time to consider updates to <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works <br />recently conducted an audit of Kittitas County Code <br />Chapter 10.08 and has identified several <br />inconsistencies between County code and the <br />County road log. <br />A public hearing is required by County code to <br />consider changing County code. At the public <br />hearing, the County Engineer will provide the <br />Board with a report detailing the proposed changes <br />and any action previously taken to support the <br />changes. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Set a Public Hearing on September 2, <br />2025, at 2:00 pm local time to updates to Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 10.08 Speed Limits and <br />receive public testimony. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Cameron Curtis, County Engineer <br />
