KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 2:30 PM July 14, 2025 <br />Board members present: Chair Laura Osiadacz and Vice -Chair Cory <br />Wright. <br />Others: Jamey Ayling and Jessica Miller, Community Development <br />Services, Arden Thomas, Public Works, Larry Leach, Darcy Batura <br />Nicky Pasi and Noah Oliver and no (0) members of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Chair Osiadacz opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />CLE ELUM RIDGE UDPATE <br />Planning Manager Jamey Ayling provided introduction to the <br />presentation. <br />Darcy Batura, The Nature Conservancy, provided background of the <br />Cle Elum Ridge location. The presentation of the PowerPoint was <br />reviewed and discussed. Larry Leach from Department of Natural <br />Resources, Nicky Pasi from Mountains to Sound Greenway, and Noah <br />Oliver with the Yakama Nation all provided information with <br />regards to the potential purchasing options of the Cle Elum <br />Ridge land. Water Resource Manager, Arden Thomas also shared her <br />concerns and support in the process. Vice -Chair Wright stated <br />that this is good start and there is a lot more work to be done. <br />He stated that we need to be mindful of the recreational aspect <br />of the property with respect to motorized vehicles and <br />appreciated the fact that DNR was mindful of the amount of <br />private property being removed from the tax rolls when put into <br />public lands. <br />OTHER BUSINESS - No Action to be taken <br />2025-07-14 MINUTES 1 <br />
