06/09/25 MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM June 9, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice Chairman Cory <br />Wright, and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br />Others: Josh Fredrickson, Reid Burbank, Sally Kraft, Public Works; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Patricia Todd, Prosecuting Attorney’s Office; Zack <br />DeHaven, Auditor’s Office; 1 member of the public. <br /> <br />At 1:30 PM Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br /> <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />Pat Kelleher submitted comments via email regarding the intersection <br />of No. 6 Road and Kittitas Highway. He requested that the Public <br />Right-of-Way be cleared of any obstruction. <br /> <br />Pat Kelleher submitted comments via email regarding the budget <br />shortfall and the County’s partnership with the Grant County PUD, <br />specifically the maintenance of the Vantage Boat Launch facilities. <br /> <br />Pat Kelleher shared that Desert Aire is a good example of working <br />successfully with Grant County PUD. <br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION FOR THE 2025 DISTRESSED COUNTY SALES <br />AND USE TAX INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CITY OF KITTITAS. <br /> <br />Josh Fredrickson presented the agreement and associated request for <br />$1,100,000.00 for the preliminary design of the South Industrial Area <br />Lift Station for the City of Kittitas. This was approved by the <br />Conference of Governments in January 2025 for use of available <br />distressed county sales and use tax. This project will expand <br />sanitary sewer to the south area of the City of Kittitas to help <br />unlock further economic development. Vice-Chairman Cory Wright <br />motioned to approve Resolution 2025-117 and Commissioner Brett <br />Wachsmith seconded the motion. Resolution 2025-117 approved. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />EXTENSION WITH GRANT COUNTY PUD NO.2 FOR THE PERIOD OF JUNE 1, 2025 <br />TO JUNE 1, 2026. <br /> <br />Josh Fredrickson presented the cooperative agreement to extend the <br />Kittitas County’s partnership with Grant County Public Utility <br />District No. 2 serving patrons of the Vantage Boat Ramp.
