PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />“Jalina Blackmore Day” <br />June 23, 2025 <br />WIAA 2B Track & Field – High Jump State Champion <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Jalina Blackmore is a student at Kittitas High School and is a leader amongst the Kittitas High <br />School Track & Field team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Jalina has had a successful track & field season that included winning the WIAA 2B High Jump <br />event on Saturday May 31, 2025, at Eisenhower High School, Zaepfel Stadium, in Yakima , <br />Washington, where she PR’d and secured a state title with a 5’ 4. jump; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Jalina should be recognized for her hard work and dedication to academics in the classroom as well <br />as her passion and commitment to the sport of Track & Field; all while representing her teammates, <br />family, Kittitas High School and the citizens of Kittitas County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners would like to request that the <br />citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring Jalina Blackmore as the WIAA 2B Track & Field <br />High Jump State Champion and declare June 23, 2025, as “Jalina Blackmore Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 17th day of June 2025. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
