Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />June 17, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the public notice requesting proposals for the <br />allocation of funds generated by the 1/10th of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Grant. This is funded by one-tenth of one percent of local sales tax retained by Kittitas County <br />specifically to provide funding for mental health and chemical dependency programs and services, <br />as authorized by RCW 82.14.460. Kittitas County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) passed ordinance <br />2021-017 authorizing implementation of this sales and use tax in Kittitas County effective January 1, <br />2022, through December 31, 2027, unless reauthorized by the BOCC.
