Scope of Work <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste 553-1763-010 <br />Ryegrass LPL and Future Uses 1 May 2025 <br />Amendment 03 <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste <br />Ryegrass LPL and Future Uses <br />Amendment 03 <br />Introduction <br />This scope of work identifies the additional effort beyond the work scoped for project Ryegrass LPL <br />and Future Uses (553-1763-010). The following tasks required extra work that was not anticipated <br />due to the Department of Ecology’s (Ecology’s) changing regulatory requirements and additional <br />work and meetings needed to satisfy their requirements: <br />• Task 01 – New Groundwater Monitoring Well – Additional budget requested. <br />• Task 05 – Expansion of Biosolids Land Application Area – Expanded scope and additional <br />budget. <br />• Task 08 – Unanticipated, Critical Work Allowance – Re-fund the allowance. <br />The changes in the tasks are outlined below. <br />Schedule <br />We are prepared to begin this project upon written authorization to proceed with the assumption of a <br />April 2025 start. The project duration is proposed through August 2026. If the projects extend past <br />August 2026, an amendment will be requested. <br /> <br />Task 01 – New Groundwater Monitoring Well <br />Objective <br />Work under this task that has previously been completed includes: <br />• Project Management and oversight of the task. <br />• Review existing hydrogeologic information and develop a work plan and cross sections for <br />the drilling of the upgradient well, B8, including the well depth, type of drilling, hydrogeologic <br />analysis. <br />• Perform a site visit/reconnaissance to select a location for one new groundwater monitoring <br />well. Attend virtual meetings and coordinate with the County, their monitoring representative, <br />Parametrix, and Department of Ecology staff regarding the new well. <br />• Develop plans and specifications for procurement of a licensed well driller to drill a <br />monitoring well up to 200 feet below ground surface. <br />• Project Management, meetings, and communications. <br />• Provide oversight of the selected drilling contractor, review submittals, assist County with <br />contract.
