KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 20, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution Authorizing Public <br />Works Water Resource Manager to Accept Funding from <br />the Washington State Department of Ecology and Sign <br />Funding Agreement No. WRYBIP-2325-KiCPWD-00069. <br />BACKGROUND: At the May 12, 2025 Study Session, staff received direction <br />to prepare enabling documents for a $150,000 grant from <br />the Washington State Department of Ecology. The grant <br />will be used to conduct a water rights needs assessment and <br />inform outreach efforts to municipal water providers. The <br />grant has no match requirements. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Authorize Authorizing <br />Public Works Water Resource Manager to Accept Funding <br />from the Washington State Department of Ecology and <br />Sign Funding Agreement No. WRYBIP-2325-KiCPWD- <br />00069. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager. <br />
