2025-04-22 MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />HR STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 W 5TH AVE., ROOM 108, ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />TUESDAY 10:00 AM 4/22/2025 <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Laura Osiadacz, Brett Wachsmith <br />Others Present: Greg Zempel, Jacob Schroeder, Jeanne Killgore <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:00 AM. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 MINUTE TIME LIMIT) <br />None. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN KITTITAS <br />COUNTY AND LOCAL 760 (PROBATION) <br />HR Director Killgore presented the 2025 – 2027 Probation union contract for approval. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />moved to approve the 2025 – 2027 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Kittitas County and Local 760 <br />(Probation). Commissioner Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion was approved; 2:0. <br />DISCUSSION/DECISION – PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE RULE 9 INTERN <br />Prosecutor Zempel requested Board approval to create a Rule 9 Intern position. He explained that the Prosecutor ’s <br />Office has received grant funds to employ a paid Rule 9 Intern for up to six months. The Board expressed support <br />for the request and provided direction to move forward. <br />DISCUSSION/DECISION – PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE RELOCATION STIPEND <br />Prosecutor Zempel requested Board approval for a one-time $2,500 relocation assistant payment to a new Deputy <br />Prosecutor who will be relocating to Ellensburg from Texas.
