Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />5/6/2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Boards approval for Chairs signature on the First Amendment for the Operations of the Transfer <br />Stations. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County entered into a contract with Waste Management (WM) for the operations of the Transfer <br />Stations in June of 2020. The contract allowed for two extension of 30 months. On January 21, 2025 the <br />Board of County Commissioner's directed staff to work with WM to extend the contract for 30 months. <br /> <br />The Amendment presented has been through legal review. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Prosecutors office, WM, Solid Waste <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Board of County Commissioner approve the Chair to sign the First Amendment with WM to <br />extend the contract for operations of the Transfer Stations. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return Signed copy. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Stacey <br />
