Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />May 6, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to approve a PSA between <br />HopeSource and Kittitas County for the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project. (Effective <br />dates: 01/01/2025-12/31/2026) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Contractor will use the funding as local contribution to the larger Youth Homelessness <br />Demonstration Project funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD). Through this project, the Contractor agrees to serve youth and young <br />adults experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Kittitas County, ages 18-24, by <br />providing the following services based on the needs of the client: <br />• Emergency housing <br />• Transitional housing <br />• Permanent housing <br />• Case management <br />• Connection to support services <br />• Family reunification <br />• Outreach <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved 04.02.25. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved 04.02.25. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a Resolution to approve a PSA between <br />HopeSource and Kittitas County for the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project.
