BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - _____ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND HOPESOURCE FOR YOUTH HOMELESSNESS <br />DEMONSTRATION PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, in its efforts to continue providing resources <br />to those in need via the Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing <br />Committee which receives funding via local document and recording surcharge <br />fees pursuant to RCW 36.22.250 and the Affordable and Supportive Housing <br />Sales and Use Tax Credit pursuant to RCW 82.14.540, to provide resources to the <br />community for those in need; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County, through Kittitas County Public Health Department, has worked with <br />HopeSource, a Washington non-profit corporation to provide services to those in <br />need in the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HopeSource and Kittitas County have developed an agreement for HopeSource to <br />provide emergency housing, transitional housing, permanent housing, case <br />management, connection support services, family reunification, and outreach for <br />youth in need and use this funding as a local contributor to the larger Youth <br />Homelessness Demonstration Project funded by the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HopeSource agrees to serve youth and <br />young adults (age 18-24) experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in <br />Kittitas County, based on their needs and the above listed criteria, as listed in the <br />professional services agreement attached hereto and incorporated by reference; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to enter into this agreement with <br />HopeSource to provide support services to youth in need in the community. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorize execution of the attached Agreement upon signature by <br />the parties. <br /> <br />DATED this __________ day of ____________________, 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> __________________________________________
