KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 6, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement <br />Between Kittitas County and CompassDirect Healthcare. <br />BACKGROUND: CDH intends to provide a Medical Assistant (MA) in KCJ 5 days a <br />week, 40 hours a week to assist with the Washington State Healthcare 1115 reentry <br />initiative. The MA will work with all programming related to reentry/medical/mental <br />health/behavioral health as well as outside entities providing reentry targeted case <br />management as required as part of the 1115 initiative. In the event of the MA being on <br />leave, both planned and emergent, CDH will be responsible for covering the hours with a <br />replacement staff member during that same time. <br />The MA will do assessments, Medicaid eligibility assessments, communicate with <br />programming, work closely with KCJ staff to navigate clients, set up the appointments <br />both in -person and telecommunication for clients and programming, process and retain <br />paperwork as required, and work closely with KCJ leadership to enhance and sustain <br />1115 and reentry programming. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve the Professional Services Agreement <br />Between Kittitas County and CompassDirect Healthcare. <br />HANDLING: Return one fully executed original to the Sheriffs Office. <br />LEAD STAFF: Lt.
