2025-04-29 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />509 E. UNIVERSITY WAY - CWU <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 9:00 A.M. APRIL 29, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Jim Wohlpart, CWU <br />President; Delano Palmer, Director of Capital Planning and Projects, <br />CWU; Joe Poire, Consultant, JRP Integrated Solutions, and <br />approximately 50 members of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING PROJECT KICK OFF – OLD HEAT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting for the <br />Project Kick-Off for the Kittitas County CWU Technology Transfer <br />Center Feasibility Study. <br /> <br />CWU President Wohlpart, welcomed attendees and gave opening remarks <br />on forging the future a regional collaboration for innovation and <br />growth. <br /> <br />Delano Palmer, Director, Capital Planning & Projects, gave a brief <br />history of Old Heat and the evolution of energy. <br /> <br />Chairman Osiadacz, thanked the partners and discussed collaboration <br />and innovation of what can become of the space. She expressed her <br />excitement for the future and our community's economic resilience. <br /> <br />Joe Poire, Consultant, gave an overview of the scope of the project <br />and discussed the adaptive reuse of the site and the future economic <br />development of the site. <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was concluded at 9:25 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
