04/15/2025 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. APRIL 15, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Commissioner <br />Brett Wachsmith. Excused: Vice-Chairman Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; and Chad Bala, CDS Director. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING PERIODIC UPDATE GROWTH PROJECTIONS CDS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />the 2026 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update Growth Projections as <br />recommended by Kittitas County Conference of Governments (KCCOG). <br /> <br />CHAD BALA, CDS DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report and provided <br />history on how Kittitas County’s required to update the <br />Comprehensive Plan by June 30, 2026. Employment and population <br />projects are a key element in projecting land use demands and <br />establishing policy. The Office of Financial Management’s 2046 <br />medium population projection was presented and recommended adoption <br />of OFM projections for the Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan <br />Periodic Update. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2025-078 PERIODIC UDPATE GROWTH PROJECTIONS CDS <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2025-078, <br />Formally Adopting the Population and Employment Projections <br />Recommended by the Conference of Governments of Kittitas County. <br />CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded.
