FEBRUARY 18, 2025 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Office <br />Administrator; Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; <br />Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director; Josh Fredrickson, Public <br />Works Director. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING FAIR RATES EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />amendments to rates at the Kittitas County Fair. <br /> <br />KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR, requested the Public <br />Hearing be continued to 2:00 p.m. on April 1, 2025, in the <br />Commissioners Auditorium. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION <br />OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to continue the Public Hearing to Tuesday <br />April 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Auditorium, noting <br />the record was to remain open. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING RENTAL RATES & FEE SCHEDULE EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:01 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />amendments to the Rental Rates and Fee Schedule at the Kittitas <br />Valley Event Center. <br /> <br />KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR, reviewed a Staff Report and <br />said the proposed rental rates reflect changes based on inflation, <br />the cost of doing business, facility improvements, and demand. She <br />indicated the new rates would become effective on February 19, 2025, <br />for any new contracts generated. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE <br />PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
