Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />February 4, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a resolution to fund Kittitas County Public <br />Schools through the Kittitas County Mental Health Tax via Kittitas County Ordinance No. 2021- <br />017 to support mental health services. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Board of County Commissioners have allocated 1/10th of 1% funds to Kittitas County <br />Schools knowing schools play a vital role in supporting students mental health needs. The board <br />recognizes the importance of investing in resources within our public education system to better <br />serve the needs of our students. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved 01/27/2025. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved N/A. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves a resolution to fund Kittitas County Public <br />Schools through the Kittitas County Mental Health Tax via Kittitas County Ordinance No. 2021- <br />017 to support mental health services. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Kasey Knutson/Emma Madland
