KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 4, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for February 18, <br />2025, at 2:00 pm local time to consider a Lease with <br />Cheyenne Air LLC for property located at the Kittitas <br />County Airport, Bowers Field. <br />BACKGROUND: In September of 2017, Tyler Glahn entered into a <br />Lease for County land located at Bowers Field within <br />the Aeronautical Area identified as Lot H-34 and Lot <br />H-35. These lots were developed with private <br />airplane hangars by Mr. Glahn for personal use. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Mr. Glahn has since sold the private airplane hangar <br />located on Lot H-35 to Cheyenne Air LLC and a new <br />Lease for Lot H-35 with Cheyenne Air LLC has been <br />drafted for a term of thirty (30) years at a rate of $0.16 <br />per square foot. The hangar will continue to be used <br />for privately owned aircraft. <br />Additionally, a separate action through an <br />Amendment to Lease with Mr. Glahn has been drafted <br />and scheduled for Board consideration to complete <br />this process by removing Mr. Glahn as the current <br />Lessee of Lot H-35. <br />Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office; <br />Cheyenne Air LLC <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for February 18, 2025, at 2:00 <br />pm local time, to consider a Lease with Cheyenne Air <br />LLC for County property located at Bowers Field <br />Airport. <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />Notice of Public Hearing <br />Josh Fredrickson <br />Public Works Director <br />
